This magical event is the first of its kind to be held in Ireland and is definitely the first time this stunning lantern exhibition has been held in Dublin Zoo. The showcase of these extraordinary lanterns launches on Friday the 3rd of November 2017 and finishes on the Sunday the 7th of January 2018.
Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo includes a 30 metre long Chinese dragon and a 16 metre high elephant. These lanterns have been specially created and designed for Dublin Zoo and is a must see this festive season for the whole family.
Maldron Hotel Newlands Cross is the ideal place to lay your head after spending an evening at the Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo. Located just minutes from the M50 and at exit 1A off the N7, we are only a 20 minute drive from the zoo or if you are brave enough to battle the cold, the Red Cow Luas stop is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel.
Why not make a full day of it and take advantage of our Dublin Zoo package that includes overnight accommodation and a family pass for the daytime in Dublin Zoo. The kids can see all the real life animals during the day and in the evening they can experience the lantern version. Please note that our zoo package does NOT include admission to Wild Lights.
